WATERLOO, Iowa - Black Hawk County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a Tuesday morning crash that sent a 76-year-old woman to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

According to a news release, it happened around 10:30 at 2609 N. Raymond Road. The release said 77-year-old Milton M. The van entered the west ditch and struck a landscaping boulder before coming to rest in a driveway.

Investigators said Velma Jean Jones of Hawkeye was seated in the front passenger seat of the van. An ambulance took her to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
