Trial Set in Prescription Forgery Case
MASON CITY, Iowa (AP) - A northern Iowa woman has pleaded not guilty to charges of prescription forgery, insurance fraud and illegal possession of drugs.
The Mason City Globe Gazette says 34-year-old Gina Splitt, of Algona, will face those charges in a trial scheduled to start on Jan. 15. She was arraigned on Monday. Arraignment was postponed until Tuesday for her co-defendant, 33-year-old Melissa Ricke, also of Algona. Ricke faces similar charges. Online court records don't list the name of Ricke's attorney.
