Trial Delayed for Man Accused of Killing GirlfriendBy Adam Carros, Content Manager
WASHINGTON, Iowa - The former Johnson County Emergency Coordinator accused of fatally shooting his live-in girlfriend is now scheduled to stand trial in June.
Thomas Hansen’s first-degree murder trial was scheduled to start in April. On Thursday, a judge delayed the trial until June 12th at the defense’s request. Prosecutors allege Hansen, 70, shot and killed Sharon Gerot, 54, in May of 2011 as she mowed the lawn at the Riverside home where the two lived together. Most Popular
