DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Supporters of a casino in Warren County are discussing their plans with the public.

Warren County Citizens for Good Jobs will host a series of town hall meetings Thursday night. The group plans to talk about the $145 million casino, hotel, events center and bowling alley that would be built in Norwalk.

The group recently submitted 3,000 signatures to ensure a special election on whether to allow gambling in the county. It is scheduled May 7.

The Des Moines Register reports the meetings will be held in Norwalk, Indianola, Carlisle and Milo.

Warren County sits just south of Des Moines. There are casinos in adjacent Polk County and Clarke County.
