DUBUQUE, Iowa – Authorities are looking for three armed subjects who allegedly robbed three Dubuque residents behind a firearms and archery outlet store early Thursday morning.
Officials responded to the Road Ranger on Central Avenue near 22nd Street around 4:15 a.m. for a report of a robbery that had just occurred in the alley behind Central Range, 2100 White Street. 21-year-old Christopher P. Hosier, 21-year-old Joseph D. Arms and 22-year-old Alex T. Gutierrez, all of Dubuque, were allegedly robbed by three armed suspects. The victims were not injured, but reported electronics and cash stolen.
Lt. Scott Baxter said the victims were unable to report the robbery from behind Central Range, so called authorities at the Road Ranger about a block away. Arms apparently drove to the Road Ranger to make the report, and was arrested for operating while intoxicated, officials said.
According to authorities, Hosier, Arms and Gutierrez had contact with the supposed robbers in another town earlier on Thursday or sometime Wednesday. Lt. Baxter said the public is not in any danger, and the incident was not a "random act."
"We believe the alleged robbery is related to the previous interaction they had," Baxter said.
Authorities are not releasing details regarding weapons or descriptions at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
