DUBUQUE, Iowa - Three Dubuque police officers are recovering after they say they were attacked during a Saturday afternoon incident on Central Avenue.

Police say officers Jake Sellers and Carin Tobin were responding to a report of domestic abuse happening at 1626 1/2 Central Avenue.

When the officers arrived they say 26-year-old Ronald Gasaway Jr. head-butted them, breaking the officers noses.

Gasaway then took off running and ran into Lt. Steve Radloff. That knocked Radloff backwards into a tombstone. Lt. Radloff suffered a concussion.

Gasaway faces several charges including domestic abuse and three counts of assaulting a peace officer, causing injury.

He's being held in the Dubuque County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
