CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance is honoring three businesses this year for being unique and homegrown.

BHFO, Inc., Tallgrass Business Resources and Ginsberg Jewelers received BRAVO awards Thursday morning.

Ginsberg Jewelers is the oldest of the three businesses - having opened its first store in 1933. Third and forth generation Ginsberg's currently run the business. It is the first BRAVO award for the jeweler.

"Theres always a humbling feeling about this so we want to maintain and go above and beyond the meaning of the award," Steven Ginsberg, owner, said.

The store was originally located in downtown Cedar Rapids but it moved to its current location on First Avenue and Collins Road after the 2008 flood.
