Three Arrested in Waterloo Drug Investigation
WATERLOO, Iowa — Police arrested three people for allegedly distributing marijuana, ecstasy and crack cocaine.
Officers with the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Task Force used a search warrant to get inside 1718 Cornwall Avenue in Waterloo. That’s where authorities seized several grams of each drug and a .45 caliber handgun. The drugs moved from Detroit, Michigan, to Waterloo, Iowa, authorities said.
Police arrested Luke Behnke, 42, of East Dubuque Illinois, Charles Newell, 35, of Redford Michigan, and Andrea Gakovic, 18, of Waterloo Iowa.
Each person is facing several drug related charges, including distributing drugs. All three suspects are being held in the Black Hawk County Jail on bonds that exceed $200,000.
