Thousands Of Seats Remain Unsold For Saturday's Hawkeye Game

IOWA CITY, Iowa - A seven game losing streak could result in some empty seats this weekend at Kinnick Stadium. The University ticket office reports there are still 6,300 tickets available to the game. 3,000 of those tickets are unsold students tickets.
The Hawkeyes are set to kickoff at 11 a.m. Saturday against Missouri State.
There is also room remaining at some area hotels this weekend. A receptionist at the Travelodge on Dodge Street said they still have rooms available.
The Hawkeyes haven't won a home game since defeating Minnesota last September on Homecoming weekend in Iowa City.
Despite the somber mood around Kinnick Stadium, Ron Christensen, owner of Game Day Iowa, said his store broke records for opening weekend sales last weekend.
