DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Des Moines police are looking for suspects in the theft of $100,000 worth of copper from a non-operational concrete plant.
The Des Moines Register says burglars broke into the American Concrete plant and stripped the copper from about 20 breaker and junction boxes. The break-in happened between Sept. 10 and Tuesday. The damage was discovered Tuesday night when employees went to take inventory.
Police say the thieves likely entered the plant through a window that was forced opened.
