Tama Co. Authorities Investigating Reported Carjacking

  • Photo
TAMA COUNTY, Iowa - The Tama County Sheriff's office is investigating a carjacking it says happened Thursday night on Highway 63.

The sheriff's office says the victim told them it happened about 5:30 p.m. somewhere between Gladbrook and Traer or possibly north into Black Hawk County.

The victim, who is from Marshalltown, said a pickup stopped in front of him. When he stopped, two men got out of the truck, one with a gun. The victim said they forced him out of his car, then drove off in it, while a third person drove off in the pickup.

The Tama County Sheriff's office is asking if you saw a silver 2005 Acura and a black pickup stopped on Highway 63 around the 5:30 time frame. If so, call them at (641) 484-3760.
