Suspect In Multiple Cedar Rapids Burglaries Arrested In Wisconsin
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- The suspect in a number of Cedar Rapids burglaries was arrested in Wisconsin last month.
Cedar Rapids police said Monday that 41-year-old Angelo Dell Olds is wanted on five warrants out of Linn County. He remains in custody in Lacrosse, Wis., where he was arrested late last month.
Police said Olds is a suspect in more than 30 "smash and grab" style burglaries that began in July and continued through September. Police said Olds would smash the front windows of business and grab items inside. Security footage taken from some of the businesses led police to develop Olds as a suspect.
As of right now, Olds is awaiting extradition to Linn County on four counts of third-degree burglary and one count of ongoing criminal conduct. Additional burglary charges will likely be filed once Olds is returned to Linn County.
