CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - A dash and dose of creativity and quick thinking Saturday as elementary school students stack their creations against the competition.

Young builders gathered at Kirkwood Community College to compete in the annual Block Kids Building Contest, sponsored by the National Association of Women in Construction.

"There's so many people I'm competing against. I'm just kind of worried," said Kade Deuster, a 4th grader from Cedar Rapids.

Each student worked with 100 blocks, play money and 60 minutes to create a masterpiece.
