WEST DES MOINES, Iowa - Six months have passed since the killing of a real estate agent in West Des Moines with no arrests made.
Twenty-seven-year-old Ashley Okland, an employee with Iowa Realty Co., died after she was shot at a model townhome in West Des Moines on April 8. Police have said they don't believe the shooting
was a random act.
Lt. Jim Barrett says that investigators have so far followed up on more than 681 tips, interviewed more than 500 people and executed five search warrants.
Barrett says the killing is still a priority for the department and isn't considered a cold case.
Polk County Crime Stoppers is offering a $75,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
