State Patrol: Teen Fires Shotgun at OfficersKCCI.com
LEON, Iowa —The Iowa State Patrol said they arrested a teen after he fired a shotgun at them Tuesday morning.
According to troopers, a 16-year-old boy from the Leon area took his sister’s car without permission. Troopers said a Decatur County deputy spotted the car about 7 a.m. and attempted to pull the teen over. According to troopers, a chase ensued and the state patrol joined the chase. Officials said troopers were able to pull the vehicle over at the intersection of Highway 69 and Highway J-20. Troopers said the teen fired a shotgun at them, hitting a patrol car twice. No officers were injured in the incident. According to troopers, the teen fled the area on foot, but was captured without incident a short time later. Most Popular |
