LEON, Iowa —The Iowa State Patrol said they arrested a teen after he fired a shotgun at them Tuesday morning.

Troopers said a Decatur County deputy spotted the car about 7 a.m. and attempted to pull the teen over. According to troopers, a chase ensued and the state patrol joined the chase.

Officials said troopers were able to pull the vehicle over at the intersection of Highway 69 and Highway J-20.

Troopers said the teen fired a shotgun at them, hitting a patrol car twice. No officers were injured in the incident.

According to troopers, the teen fled the area on foot, but was captured without incident a short time later.
