Son Pleads Not Guilty to Shooting His Father

DUBUQUE, Iowa - A Dubuque County man pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder of his own father.

Investigators say Anthony Podnar, 31, shot his father, Adam Podnar, 60, last month.

Authorities say the January 12th shooting happened at the son's home in Asbury, outside Dubuque.The older Podnar then drove himself to a nearby convenience store and walked in with a gunshot wound to his stomach.

Emergency responders arrived and rushed him to a nearby hospital.

Law officers then arrested the son at his home.
