SOLON, Iowa - Iowa is normally known for its corn and its hogs, but Solon is showing off its beef. Solon Beef days kicked off today and runs through tomorrow night.

The beef-themed weekend does have a lot more to offer than just steak.

A kickball tournament, tractor pull, and a Hay Bale toss are featured on Friday night. The highlight of beef days- the Ribeye steak dinners are tonight starting at 5:00 and tomorrow for both lunch and dinner.

The beef days parade also starts tomorrow morning at 10. The route begins on West 3rd Street turning north and wraps around N West Street around to South Dubuque Street.
