Eastern Iowans Digging Out from Latest Round of Snow

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - A winter storm continues to move through the Midwest, leaving difficult travel conditions in its wake. Snow will continue through the morning hours.

Winds are causing blowing snow, especially on east-west roadways. Plan for poor road conditions, especially in open areas.

The Iowa Department of Transportation is reporting most roads in Eastern Iowa as partially, or completely covered. Find the latest road conditions here.

Many school districts have either closed or delayed the start of classes today. You can find that list here.

As of 7:45 a.m., 3.5" of snow had fallen in Cedar Rapids. Up to 6" has been reported near Washington. Snow should come to an end late this morning.
