IOWA CITY - The three-year-old sexual abuse case involving a former Hawkeye football player is put off for a bit longer.

Cedric Everson faces a second degree sexual abuse charges for his alleged involvement in the rape of a female student athlete in 2007.

Former teammate Abe Satterfield has already written a guilty plea for an assault charge for the same incident.

Everson wasn't in court on Wednesday.

The judge granted the continuance due to health concerns involving his lawyer.
