JEFFERSON COUNTY, Iowa- Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help in finding out who is responsible for a series of burglaries in churches. Since July 1st, 2012 four churches were broken into. The break ins happened at the Faith United Church in Libertyville, Calvary Baptist Church in Batavia, the Pleasant Plain Friends Church, the Jubilee Kingdom Gathering Church, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. There were also reports of church burglaries in Wapello, Keokuk, and Henry Counties.
