Seven Die in Iowa Crashes on One Day, Authorities Say

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say at least seven people have died on one day in Iowa traffic accidents.

Iowa State Patrol Sgt. Scott Bright told The Des Moines Register that he couldn't recall a recent date when so many people were killed on Iowa highways.

In eastern Iowa on Saturday night, a 3-year-old and two adults were killed when a truck collided with their car. The accident occurred south of Keystone.

Two people were killed and three were injured in Tiffin. Authorities say pickup ran a stop sign Saturday and was hit by a sport-utility vehicle.

In Warren County, a 62-year-old woman died and a 62-year-old man was injured in a motorcycle crash.

In Taylor County, a man died when his motorcycle collided with a car near New Market.
