JOHNSON COUNTY, Iowa -- A 58-year-old Waterloo man was injured after his semi struck a guardrail on Interstate 80 on Sunday.
According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, Michael Markey was driving eastbound when his truck sideswiped a guard rail barricade near the 244 mile marker, causing the car to enter a ditch and roll onto its left side.
Markey was transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics following the accident. The report said he was wearing a seat belt.
