BETTENDORF, Iowa (AP) — A tractor trailer was sliced in half during a weekend crash with a train in eastern Iowa.
KWQC in Davenport reports that the train struck the trailer shortly after 11 p.m. on Saturday. The crash pushed the cab on its side with its driver still inside. It happened in front of a warehouse in Bettendorf.
The driver, who was not identified, suffered cuts and bruises, but his injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The crossing has a flashing light, but no stop arm to prevent motorists from crossing the railroad tracks.
