CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Emergency crews are working at the scene of a crash on Interstate 80.

The westbound lanes at the 189 mile marker are closed. Poweshiek County Sheriff’s Deputy’s, Iowa State Troopers, and Malcom Fire crews are all on the scene. A semi crashed into a passenger vehicle, pinning it in the ditch. At least two ambulances have been seen rushing away from the crash. At least a dozen emergency vehicles are on site.

Another vehicle hauling a trailer is flipped upside down in the median about a quarter mile further west of the semi crash. It is not known if the two are related.

Road conditions are very slick and icy in many areas along Interstate 80.
