IOWA CITY, Iowa -- A second Iowa City woman has been charged in the gang beating of another woman.

According to criminal complaints, police have charged 20-year-old Antoinette C. Flournoy with riot, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by two years in prison. She joins 19-year-old Rachel A. Garner-Payton among those who have been arrested for the assault. One other woman, who has not been arrested, was involved in the melee, police said.

Police said on September 24, the victim was called to Flournoy's residence at 2658 Roberts Rd. in Iowa City. The woman reported when she arrived to Flournoy's residence, she was confronted by the three women and surrounded by a large group of people. The group moved outside and the victim was sucker punched by one of the three women, police said.

All three women engaged in the fracas until the victim was able to get away and use someone else's phone to call police. Police said the woman suffered a bruise to her left eye, her purse was destroyed and someone stole her phone during the scuffle.

Police said Flournoy admitted to fighting with the woman.
