An airplane uses runway 8/26 for takeoff reconstruction of runway 9/27 continues at The Eastern Iowa Airport on Friday, June 4, 2010, in southwest Cedar Rapids. The runway work is expected to be completed in September. The total cost of the project will be $46.6 million. Eighty-six percent will be paid for by the Federal Aviation Administration.
