Second Person Dies Following November Plane Crash Near Clutier

TRAER, Iowa - A passenger injured in a November plane crash near Clutier has died.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports that Max Morrison, 64, of Traer, died at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Morrison was a passenger in an airplane piloted by William Konicek, 69. Konicek died in the crash.

A preliminary report said the plane clipped power lines before crashing at an unimproved airstrip near Clutier.

The National Transportation Safety Board says the plane was approaching the strip around 11 a.m. on Nov. 28 when the accident occurred.
