Second-Largest Crowd in Stadium History Celebrates Kernels Win on July 4th

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The second-largest crowd in the history of Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium saw the Kernels use power and pitching to top Wisconsin 3-1 on Thursday night. The crowd of 5,631 fans was treated to home runs by Adam Brett Walker and Dalton Hicks, as well as an excellent start by Josue Montanez.

The attendance of 5,631 surpassed the 2004 All Star Game crowd of 5,589, falling second to the all-time record crowd of 5,861 fans in 2002, the first year of the stadium.
