Second Arrest Made in Linn Street Apartment Robbery
IOWA CITY, Iowa - Iowa City police made a second arrest in an apartment robbery.
The victims called in a robbery Wednesday at 221 North Linn St. in Iowa City. The victims reported two males entered the residence armed with a handgun demanding money. An altercation ensued between them and the suspects. Investigators say the robbers then ran away with an undisclosed amount of money and property.
Officers today announced the arrest of 24-year-old Devon Montreal Ware, of Iowa City. He's charged with first degree robbery, first degree burglar, going armed with intent and assault while participating in a felony.
Last week, officers arrested 19-year-old Nicholas Garner, of North Liberty. He is also facing charges of going armed with intent, assault while participating in a felony, first degree burglary and first degree robbery.
