Searchers Find Missing Swimmer in W. Iowa Lake

ONAWA, Iowa (AP) - Searchers have recovered the body of a swimmer in Blue Lake at Lewis and Clark State Park in western Iowa.

The Sioux City Journal reports the body was recovered Thursday morning near a boat ramp at the lake west of Onawa.

The swimmer was identified as 43-year-old Garrett L. Grant, of Macy, Neb.

On Wednesday morning, Grant entered the water in the middle of the lake.

Officials were called to the lake around noon, and divers, dogs and a helicopter searched without success.

The body was found after the search resumed Thursday morning.
