WEST DES MOINES, Iowa —West Des Moines police said a school bus collided with a house Monday morning.
Police were called to a house in the 500 block of 53rd Street at 7:41 a.m. According to police, the West Des Moines School District bus was southbound on 53rd Street when it left the roadway, went through several yards, hitting a truck parked in a driveway and then hitting the house. There were 11 elementary-age children on the bus at the time of the crash. No serious injuries were reported, police said. There was extensive damage to the home, bus and parked truck.
