IOWA CITY, Iowa - A former Hawkeye football player will have to testify at a teammate's rape trial before he hears his own sentence.

Abe Satterfield, 21, has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault as part of a plea deal. He originally faced more serious sexual abuse charges.

A judge has delayed Satterfield's sentencing until after he testifies against Cedric Everson.

The court still hasn't set a date for Everson's second-degree sexual abuse trial.

The charges against both men stemmed from an attack on an Iowa student athlete in her dorm room in 2007.
