Road Construction Set to Begin on Blairs Ferry Road

MARION, Iowa - Construction will soon be underway on Blairs Ferry Road in Marion.

the road will be closed from Lindale Drive through Marion Boulevard beginning next Monday. The closure will only allow local access.

The project will make the road three-lanes and improve storm sewers and street lighting. The city expects the entire project to be finished by November 2013.

Highway 965 at 230th Street in North Liberty will also be down to one-lane tomorrow. The closure is part of a project to extend Pheasant Lane.

The city hopes to reopen the lanes by 5 p.m. tomorrow.
