WATERLOO, Iowa - Thursday was the longest ride for cyclists on RAGBRAI. They pedaled 82 miles from Charles City to Waterloo. After that long journey, those cyclists are ready to party at their campsite near Lost Island Waterpark. Thousands of cyclists ride RAGBRAI each year.

KCRG-TV9's John Campbell shows us the family that rides together, stays together.

Even before he was married, Greg Wilson of Ames dreamed of riding across the state of Iowa on RAGBRAI with his family. Well, he now has a wife and kids and they are riding RAGBRAI. Big deal you say. Lots of families ride. Yes, they do, but the Wilsons are doing it on one bike, and that is quite a feat.

Greg and Shelli ride the tandem, 8 year old Remington and 7 year old Chastity ride attachments behind the tandem and hitched to all of it is a baby carrier with two more Wilsons (Hope, 3, and Preston 1 1/2) in tow.

Six people, one bike!

It is quite a sight as they pedal and sing their way across the state. Greg and Shelli hope their kids see that hard work pays off and they also think it is quite an educational opportunity.

So far, so good, say Greg. His dream of leading his clan across Iowa is coming through
