Public Forum Sunday for New Johnson County Justice Center
IOWA CITY, Iowa - Johnson County voters could be going to the polls yet again for another justice center proposal as early as next spring.
Voters have previously rejected 2 bond proposals for a new Johnson County Jail and addition to the Courthouse.
Supervisors say they're starting fresh and hope to put a new plan together by the end of the year. They're asking for opinions with a series of public meetings.
The first one is Sunday from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. It will be held in the lower level conference room of the Johnson County Administrative building at 913 South Dubuque Street in Iowa City.
