Public Asked To Help In Burglary Investigation Near Alburnett

ALBURNETT, Iowa -- The Linn County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in an ongoing burglary investigation.

Police said the burglary occurred on March 6, north of Alburnett. The resident, an adult woman, was assaulted during the burglary, police said.

The suspect is described as a white man, in his late teens to early twenties, approximately 5'10", 180 pounds and with shorter dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black, long-sleeve T-shirt, gray sweat pants and light-colored tennis shoes.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call Linn County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-CS-CRIME or text CRIMES and in the message, type 5227 and the tip.
