DES MOINES, Iowa - It was Saturday night at 10 p.m. when the residents of De Soto, a small town just west of Des Moines, saw something strange.

Neighbors stood in awe as about 20 unidentified objects flew over their heads. One spotter noticed that they were glowing orange, looking somewhat like lit up balloons.

The show lasted about 10 minutes. One man said that he was so scared that at one point, he almost called 911.

The National Guard also had no answers regarding the mysterious objects. While some think they witnessed extraterrestrial activity, others think it was just balloons lighting up the night sky.
