IOWA CITY, Iowa - An Iowa City man is in jail after being arrested for allegedly masturbating near an Iowa City elementary school.

Police have charged Anthony Hudson, 46, of Iowa City with four counts of indecent exposure. Police say they set up surveillance after receiving a complaint of a male exposing himself to passing elementary school students from an apartment building doorway at 1848 Benton St. That address is across from Horn Elementary School.

Police say Hudson returned to the apartment building, where he does not live, on Wednesday and was taken into custody as he unzipped his pants from the same doorway.

Police say they were able to obtain video of Hudson masturbating in the doorway on the previous day. A criminal complaint says Hudson used a "strobing flashlight" to get the attention of students.

The complaint says Hudson admitted to masturbating in the presence of children for sexual gratification at least three times.

Police are still investigating "Hudson's activities" according to a news release. A search of his home, 50 Hickory Place, has also been conducted.

Iowa City Area Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1000 for anyone with more information in the case. Their number is 358-TIPS (8477).
