Police Respond to Bank Robbery in Downtown Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Police in Cedar Rapids are on the scene of a bank robbery in downtown Cedar Rapids.

Police responded to the Banker's Trust location at 221 3rd Ave SE at 4:15 Friday afternoon. According to police, a man entered the bank and demanded money while displaying a handgun. The subject had a face mask on and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
