Police Investigating Man's Death After Fight in Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa — Police in Mount Pleasant are investigating a fight that left one man dead. Shortly after ten o’clock Friday night, police were called to the Mount Pleasant Moose Lodge after several reports of a fight.

Few details are being released at this time, but police say that as a result of the fight Larry Allen, 68, of New London, was taken to the Henry County Health Center where he was pronounced dead.

Police arrested and charged Dennis Wiley Sr. with one count of serious assault and one count of simple assault. Dennis Wiley Jr. was arrested and charged with two counts of serious assault.

Police say additional charges are pending as the investigation continues.
