BURLINGTON, Iowa (AP) — Burlington police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found during a welfare check.
Police say officers were sent to a house early Thursday to check on the woman who authorities say had been involved in a domestic dispute.
Officers forced their way inside the home and found the woman dead. State investigators are assisting in the investigation to determine the cause and manner of death.
The woman's name has not been released, pending notification of family.
