GUTTENBERG, Iowa —School officials are taking extra supervision measures after an incident on the playground yesterday at Clayton Ridge Elementary School. Superintendent Allan Nelson says a young girl told teachers she was playing on the playground when a ball went off the playground. She says when she reached under the fence to grab the ball from some bushes a man grabbed her hand.

Police are still trying to sort out the student’s report and were unavailable to comment. School officials referred any requests for a suspect description to the police department as well.

Nearby St. Mary’s Catholic school in Guttenberg is also taking extra precautions today. The school is a few blocks from Clayton Ridge.
