Search Teams Recover Body from Mississippi River Near Downtown Dubuque
DUBUQUE, Iowa — Authorities in Dubuque tell KCRG.com that they have located a body near Miller Riverview Park, along the Mississippi River. The body was found at about 11:45 Tuesday morning.
Police will not say if they think the discovery is related to their search for a man who was been reported missing after falling from a boat on the Mississippi River. A search for the victim was suspended late Monday.. Authorities say the man fell out of the speeding boat around 6 p.m., but the boat kept going for miles down the river until it was stopped. The man fell out just south of Lock and Dam No. 11. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is expected to investigate the incident. Most Popular
