WATERLOO, Iowa - A work release escapee is back in police custody after a chase ended in downtown Waterloo. 35-year-old Bryan Anthony Keller didn't return to a West Union work release facility last week. Waterloo Police say the chase happened before 1 a.m. It started on Mitchell Ave. and ended on Lower Washington and West 3rd St. near the new downtown sports complex. Police say a fence there was damaged.
No one was hurt. Police say Keller is facing charges of felony eluding, reckless driving, driving while barred, and 2nd degree theft.

Keller was also wanted in 2008 after he escaped from a Dubuque halfway house. The Des Moines Register reports he was already serving a 60 year sentence for 1st degree robbery, escape and interference with a correctional officer causing injury.
