Plane Makes Emergency Landing on HighwayKCCI.com
KNOXVILLE, Iowa — A plane made an emergency landing on a highway near Knoxville Thursday morning, KNIA-KRLS radio reported.
The radio station said the biplane was on its way to an antique air show when it was forced to land on Highway 92/5 about 11 a.m. a half mile west of town. Sheriff Ron Goemaat told the radio station that the plane lost power and made the landing without damage to the plane or any injuries to the pilot or passenger. The plane was escorted to the Knoxville Airport. The Federal Aviation Administration was notified and will be investigating. |
