CHARLES CITY, Iowa (AP) - The former Floyd County attorney is seeking reinstatement as an attorney.

Jesse Marzen has applied to regain his law license. It had been suspended for at least six months after the Iowa Supreme Court ruled that Marzen had committed ethics violations before his election in November 2006.

He was effectively removed from the county office after his license was suspended in March 2010.

Judges in Iowa's 2nd Judicial District are allowed to comment about Marzen's application. Iowa Supreme Court Chief Justice Mark Cady has set a hearing for Feb. 22.
