MUSCATINE, Iowa - The owner of Krieger’s Collision Center in Muscatine confirmed Tuesday that a man died in Monday’s tornado.

The Muscatine County Emergency Manager said that a tornado was spotted along Highway 61 in Muscatine just before 3:30 p.m. Monday. The National Weather Service is working to confirm that information.

Iowa Governor Terry Branstad came to Muscatine Tuesday and met with Krieger’s Collision Center Owner Doug Krieger. Krieger said that one of his employees died from flying debris in Monday’s storm. Krieger would not release the man’s name, but he did say that he was a body technician in his store.
