One Person Arrested Following Shots Fired in Waterloo Early Saturday

WATERLOO, Iowa - A Waterloo man was arrested Saturday following one of two early morning reports of shots fired.

Ted Alfonso Scott Jr., 23, of 1126 Langley Road, Apt. 6, was charged with being a felon in possession of weapons and carrying weapons.

When police responded to the area of Elmwood Street and Western Avenue at 2:28 a.m., they observed Scott running away and took him into custody. He was allegedly carrying a handgun. No one was injured in the incident.

Police responded to another report of shots fired at 4:42 a.m. A house at 425 Randall St. had been hit by the gunfire, according to police. There is no suspect in the case.
