One Man Killed in Chickasaw County Crash

PROTIVIN, Iowa - One person has died following a crash in Chickasaw County early Thursday morning.

According to the Iowa State Patrol Duane Vick, 77, of Charles City, was driving a vehicle that drove into a ditch along 120th Street, about a mile southwest of Protivin.

The Iowa Sate Patrol said the car burst into flames following the crash. Authorities later found Vick's body inside of the vehicle.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
