MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - It's been one week since a man fell to his death while working from top of the Mount Vernon Water Tower. We've learned tonight that OSHA or the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is still investigating the incident.

State officials say they can't release any findings until the investigation is complete and the company under investigation has been notified. As that takes place, people are placing memorials for the 29-year-old man around the water tower. Flowers, balloons and even a baseball hat are scattered throughout Memorial Park. Mount Vernon Police say Winfred Davis, of Clinton, was working to paint the top of the tower when he fell.
